Great Apple Crunch Day at Fuhrmann Orchards
Wedneday October 9, 2024 12pm
We invite all schools, youth groups, homeschool groups, churches, hospitals, nursing homes, etc, to take a CRUNCH into a Fuhrmann Grown and hand-picked apple on this day at noon. This is a FREE virtual event where you join Leanne Fuhrmann at 12pm on a live video as she talks all about apples. Order & pick up your apples for participants before this date, with $30 per bushel of 125 count of apples. The Great Apple Crunch is a day-long celebration of local food that highlights National Farm to School Month and local farmers.
Apple Fest - 10th Annual
Saturday, October 19, 2024 from 10am-5pm
Wagon Tours, Join Fuhrmann Orchards for our 66th year celebration, one day event in October to showcase our orchard to our customers on a wagon ride. Choose from homemade pumpkin pie or apple pie, hand-dipped caramel apples or pumpkin whoopie pies. Wash it down with an apple cider slushie or hot apple cider. We have free apple tasting with 12 varieiteis, pick your own pumpkins out of the real field and pick your own apples. Get lost in the corn maze. You can paint pumpkins or have your face painted. Learn about bees and honey from the expert, pet and learn about goats, watch live apple butter making in a kettle and listen to live music from talented artists.

Columbus/Chillicothe/Waverly: Take U.S. 23 South towards Portsmouth.Take the new bypass State Rte 823 when you reach Lucasville. Take the exit toward OH-140 E/Webster St and turn left at the stop sign onto OH-140. After 2 miles you will reach Gampps BP, turn left onto Dixon Mill Rd. Turn right on the first road Hansgen Morgan Rd (our sign is at the end), and we are half a mile down on the right, a red building.
Huntington WV (45mins)/Ashland KY (30mins): Follow US-52 West/Ohio River Scenic Byway to Portsmouth. Take the OH-140 exit toward S Webster and turn right (do not exit at the 2 Wheelersburg exits). After 2 miles you will reach Gampps BP, turn left onto Dixon Mill Rd. Turn right on the first road Hansgen Morgan Rd (our sign is at the end), and we are half a mile down on the right, a red building.
Jackson OH (45 minutes): Take OH-124 West/OH-32 West, turn left on Glade Road and follow for 2 miles. Turn right onto OH-776 West and drive for 6 miles. Turn left onto State Route 335 and drive for 11 miles. Turn left onto Dixon Mill Road (by the storage units), take the second left onto Hansgen Morgan Rd (our sign is at the end), and we are half a mile down on the right, a red building.
Pick your own APPLES for the first time in 2024! Fridays and Saturdays in September.
Apples are pre-bagged for you by variety, available in 5lb, 10lb peck, 20lb half-bushel, 40lb bushels.
You may select your own pumpkin on U-pick Saturdays in October from 10am-4pm, but unfortunately you can not pick them out of the field daily.
